Case Study: Fosse Bearing Units

12 Nov , 2014

Fosse Bearing Units – based in Thurmaston, Leicester – have been around since the 1970’s, specialising in everything from repairs and supply of gearboxes, motors, bearings, belts… the list goes on. Being a long-standing local business, they’d had a website for some time, but it was beginning to show its age.

They contacted Satur9 to help them get their website up to standard, and to have it start performing not only for their business, but also their customers.

The process involved a complete custom re-design and build, bringing their digital presence back in line with the brand and recent advertising literature. Bold use of reds, whites and blues (the company colours) were complimented by metallic, industrial patterns and textures, as well as a subtle refresh of the logo.

Crucially, the website now includes a huge expansion of the display of the products and services Fosse Bearings offer, with big, clear typography throughout – and all products organised in easily-accessible sections.

Account Manager, James, reflects:

“We have generated more hits on our website in the short period it has been live. The new customers we have picked up have mainly come from finding us via the net. Being able to see the majority of products we offer has increased sales on items to customers who didn’t necessarily know we stocked that product.”

A short time after the re-launch, Fosse Bearings decided to have their website optimised for mobile and tablet devices, giving it a step-up on the competition in an increasingly mobile-dominated digital world.

“Working with Lewis was a breeze. He guided us step-by-step on how we could maximise our website’s potential. We now feel we have a superb marketing tool in our website that is quick, clear and easy to navigate.”
